Best Western Plus Barrie

I rarely write reviews, but we would be remiss if we didn’t pay a special thank you to Summer who works at the front desk. Her assistance was fantastic, she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and hassle free. Rarely anymore do you come across such tremendous customer service! Thank you, Summer, for helping to make our stay memorable and comfortable.

Had a great trip here with some of the most helpful and courteous staff around. They took care of every request we had. The breakfast was basic but filling and the staff handling the breakfast crowd were very friendly.Unfortunately I dont know the name of all the staff members but the front desk person who checked us in was Love and was very helpful in accomodating a last minute request from us.

Summer and the other front desk girls are professional and very courteous! They've been very helpful and have great suggestions for the surrounding area depending on what you are looking for. Avoid Robert at the front desk. Very temperamental person.

Excellent Minor Hockey stay. Parking is easy, staff was tremendously friendly. Small, but workable pool - excellent hot and cold breakfast. Close to all amenities. Pro tip - rent a room to have the team eat and play mini sticks. Thanks to Summer and the staff!

We stayed at BW for new years and decided to get a room with a kitchenette for slightly higher price. It comes with much bigger fridge, pots and pans, cutlery and plates and induction cooker. If you have kids, then it’s enough to make quick noodles or reheat meals. There are few eating places around and it’s not too far from main roads and plazas. The staff is very friendly and helped us out with some billing issue we had with third party booking platform. Breakfast was limited but can’t complain, it was included. All day free coffee was welcome. Sufficient parking, swimming pool(on a small side), small gym was all good. The hotel is clean and no stink or dirty carpets. I recommend this hotel for short stay or budget requirements.

We recently stayed here with our hockey team for a tournament in the Barrie area. The location to the highway, friendly staff (especially the breakfast crew and Summer!), the clean rooms and corridors, kids said the pool was warm and there were always towels (not common with a big group). We rented the conference room for some common space with the team and it worked out great! Would definitely stay here again!

The Best Western in Barrie was one of my best hotel stays ever. Pros: -Friendly Staff: After a long drive, we were welcomed with warm smiles and a quick check-in. The breakfast staff were equally kind and pleasant. -Great Room: We stayed in an Executive room on the main floor. It was spotless, spacious, and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. -Excellent Breakfast: A well-stocked buffet with hot and cold options: eggs, sausage, home fries, cereals, waffles, toast, yogurt, and more. Fresh coffee was a perfect start to the day. Cons: -None! 10/10 — Highly recommend!

Nice typical little hotel. The room was what you would expect from an older hotel: nothing amazing, but far from bad. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had what you'd need. Equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave and single coffee maker. What really did stand out is one member of the staff: Robert P***o. On arrival he noticed that I had booked two rooms; mistake is on me, I didn't pay attention on booking. Because I didin't need both, he's let me call the booking website I had used to get them to cancel the other room (I repeat: on arrival, at check-in time!). All this time, he kept helping other guests, stayed patient, friendly, smiling and professional. He was the best FD agent I had ever dealt with. Absolute gem! Thank you so much for your help, Robert!
